Great value ticket for limited seasons only!
“Seishun 18 Kippu” is a special discount coupon offered by JR ( Japan Rail ) during certain periods of the year (spring, summer and year-end), enabling unlimited train ride only at 2,410 yen per day. It can be purchased by anyone without prior booking.
In brief…
- It is a 5-ride coupon ticket ( 12,050yen/coupon ÷ 5 ride = 2,410yen/ride )
- 1-ride is valid for 1-day, allowing unlimited hop-on hop-off travel on all JR ordinary trains ( local or rapid, but not applicable to Shinkansen and limited express trains )
- The coupon can be used in any combination within validity period, e.g. 1 person x 5 selected days or 5 people travel together for 1 day.

Validity: 10 December – 10 January 2023 (*sales period: 1-31 Dec ’22)
Available Trains : ALL ordinary trains ( local and rapid trains) on JR railway network in Japan, except Shinkansen (bullet train) / Tokkyu (Limited express train).

Note:
Seats on ordinary trains are basically non-reserved, but some trains are attached with reserved cars e.g. “Green car” that requires additional charge even when using 18 kippu.
