From 30th Dec 2022, all passengers who have stayed in mainland China within 7 days or taken direct flights from mainland China will be subject to on-arrival Covid-19 test at the airport.
Those who test positive will be quarantined in designated facilities for 7days if symptomatic or 5 days if asymptomatic.
Flight schedule between Hong Kong – Japan to be affected
Although flights from Hong Kong and Macau are not subject to the above regulations, the Japanese government had requested airlines not to increase flights, forcing a major revision of future air schedules ahead of the Lunar New Year in late January.
